When preparing electronic files for J.A.C. to do your mailing, please use these guidelines.
We accept the following file formats, in order of preference:
- ASCII Text Delimited (either comma or tab delimited)
- ASCII Fixed Length (hard copy with field length definitions must be included)
- Microsoft Excel for Windows
- Microsoft Access
J.A.C. accepts the following media formats:
How to save your file:
When saving your list as a comma delimited file, the information must line up in column format when opened in a spreadsheet format, with separated fields for each category.
For example:
"first name" , "last name" , "company" , " address" ...¿
"first name" , "last name" , "company" , " address" ...¿
"first name" , "last name" , "company" , " address" ...¿
"first name" , "last name" , "company" , " address" ...¿
When setting your list up as a Microsoft Excel file, set up the fields in columns as illustrated below.
